Video Captures Group Attacking Washington, D.C., Police Officers

Recently released video footage captured multiple people attacking Washington, D.C., police officers, and four people have been arrested stemming from the incident.

A Washington, D.C., police officer was attacked by multiple people Tuesday, and authorities are searching for a suspect.

The incident happened shortly before 4 p.m. as police approached a man consuming marijuana in public, WTTG-TV reports. During the encounter, officers were assaulted by several people.

Video footage captured the attack. In the footage, a suspect is seen striking an officer, who appears to be deploying a less-lethal spray.

Police arrested four men stemming from the attack. A fifth suspect who was caught on security camera footage is still being sought, and police are asking the public for help identifying the man, offering $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
