Watch Scary Shootout Between Milwaukee Police Officers, Suspect

While investigating a report of shots fired inside a building, Milwaukee police officers were caught in an exchange of gunfire with a 20-year-old armed suspect.

A Milwaukee police officer's body camera captured a scary shootout during a call earlier this year.

The incident happened March 24 when police were investigating a call of shots fired inside a building, WISN-TV reports. Officers encountered a 20-year-old man and chased him into an alley.

During the chase, the suspect turned to confront officers and began shooting. Three officers returned fire, and the man went to the ground after being struck.

Officers rushed him to the hospital, where he was treated.

An investigation of the shooting found that bullets from the gun battle shattered a glass at a gas station nearly a block away.
