The Frederick County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Wednesday afternoon after he ran from deputies and crashed his rental car into a deputy's car, said sheriff's office Maj. Gary Morton.

Robert Dryman, 46, no address given, was taken into custody at about 3:45 p.m. after he crashed into the unmarked car in the parking lot of Costco near Md. 355, Morton said.

The sheriff's office has not yet released what Dryman was charged with.

The deputy driving the cruiser had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, Morton said.

Deputies in the Criminal Investigation Unit had been searching for Dryman on Wednesday to arrest him on burglary charges when they found him in the parking lot of Enterprise Rent-a-Car in a car he had rented, Morton said.

When deputies approached Dryman, he drove away in the white Chevrolet, Morton said.

After he turned into the Costco parking lot, he crashed into the deputy's unmarked car. The deputy's car had minor damage.

The white Chevrolet's front tires were deflated in the crash, and it was towed from the parking lot.
