Two Texas Police Officers Shot; Suspects in Custody

One Kileen police officer is in critical condition while the other officer was listed in good condition Friday.

Two Killeen, Texas police officers were wounded in an early morning shooting Friday.

Officials said the Tactical Response Team and Bell County Organized Crime Unit went to serve a warrant on Circle M when a male and female inside an apartment opened fire, hitting the officers, according to The Killeen Daily Herald.

A total of four officers were hit by gunfire, but two were protected by their equipment while the other two were wounded.

Both suspects were taken into custody and the shot officers were transported to Scott & White Hospital. One officer, who is an 18-year veteran of the department, was listed in critical condition while the other, of is a 9-year veteran of the department, was listed in good condition.

The names of the officers and the suspects have not been released at this time.
