A Mount Holly police officer suffered burns to his hands while assisting in a rescue after a car caught fire following a crash Tuesday night, authorities said.
The driver of a car that overturned and burst into flames was critically injured after colliding with another vehicle at the intersection of Route 38 and the South Avenue extension, Mount Holly police said. The driver was flown to a hospital for treatment
The other driver was also brought to an area hospital to be checked following the crash, which took place around 10:20 p.m.
