SEAL 1 is known for its highly effective, bio/people-friendly cleaning, lubrication and protectant for firearms and machinery, but it also has a line of ultra-quality, 100 percent pure U.S. cotton flannel cleaning patches - and they are now available in 250- and 500-count bags in five sizes from .22 caliber to 12 gauge. The company also offers their cleaning patches in packs of 100, but for the consistent shooter the bigger bags make more sense.
Yes, yes, we know, cleaning patches are not as nifty as the latest two-pound .378 Magnum photon torpedo belt feed, full-auto sniper rifle that fits in your shirt pocket, but firearms need cleaning once in a while and the patches you use can help make a real difference in barrel life span and accuracy.
Why they work so well
SEAL 1 quality 100 percent American cotton flannel patches are heavy-duty yet "fluffy"so they fit forcefully into the bore. This gives them more bite and allows them to reach into the lands and grooves at a near microscopic level. The fluffiness comes from an extra process called "double-napping" that turns the cotton fibers into tiny scrubbers on both sides of the patch helping to more effectively hold and deposit cleaning material (wet patch) into the tightest areas of the bore, and assist in contaminant removal (dry patch).
Available in 250 and 500 counts for Calibers: .22-.270, .270-35, .38-.410, .45-20 ga, and 16-12 ga.
