    Safariland announces the launch of the Monadnock #5107, the Ultimate Side Handle Training Baton. This is the next evolution in training aids for agencies and officers that carry a PR-24, control device or any other side handle baton. The new #5107 has a time-tested #5101 PR-24 STSWT white foam trainer complemented with a neoprene sleeve. It is then covered by a durable DuPont nylon material for versatility. Finally, the tip is dipped in vinyl for added strength and durability. Available in a black finish.The energy absorbing construction allows for general and specialized scenarios to be performed with greater ease, comfort and safety. This is an excellent tool for instructors to use to ensure safety during dynamic training scenarios. The baton is 2.25 inches (5.7cm) in diameter, 24 inches in length and weighs 17.6 ounces. The side handle is 5 inches (12.70 cm) in length and 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) in diameter.
