NYPD Searching for Suspect who Slashed Tires on 19 Police Vehicles

A suspect is being sought on a charge of criminal mischief in connection with 19 NYPD cruisers that were vandalized while they were parked outside the department's Traffic Control Division.

This guy took “traffic control” literally.

Cops are looking for a man who vandalized 19 police vehicles parked outside the NYPD Traffic Control Division on W. 30th St. near Sixth Ave. in Chelsea, slashing the tires of each car with a sharp object, at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspect — who is being sought on a charge of criminal mischief — was last seen running off uptown on Seventh Ave. and into the subway at W. 33rd St.

The suspect is described as about 5-feet-11 and 260 pounds with a light complexion and heavy build. He was wearing a gray hoodie, black sweatpants, a blue hat, gray sneakers and a white surgical face mask.
