    The Maxa Beam Searchlight by Peak Beam Systems Inc. is a lightweight, high-intensity illumination system with an output of 7,500,000 Peak Beam candlepower. The Maxa Beam has an effective visible light range of up to 2 miles and has an infrared illumination range of 1,200 meters with an 850-nm filter. All Maxa Beam models include a user-programmable strobe function that is currently undergoing government-sponsored human behavioral testing for its effectiveness as a less-lethal weapon. The Maxa Beam has been field-tested and refined since 1987. Its new features include: a mounting system for HMMWV military vehicles and a 12,000,000-candlepower M2HB weapons-mounted model.
